I’m Mihai from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. During the day, you can find me working with spatial data, digital maps and everything geography related. During my free time I consider myself a hobbyist photographer, experimenting with instant photography as well as 35mm photography. I started looking into instant photography when I got my hands on a 636 Polaroid camera at my local flea market in 2015, but didn’t quite get the hang of it. Fast forward to 2020, I decided to give it another try and go neck-deep into the field. In August 2020 I created an Instagram account (@analogtriplex) where I post my shots, but with a twist - I use my colored LED lamp to obtain different looks of an original Polaroid shot. 1 shot, 3 different colored hues. I also shoot thematic series using special edition film, mostly 600 Yellow Duochrome and B&W film. During the past year, I've learnt a lot from the warm and welcoming community on Instagram and Discord. The magic of instant photography never ceased to impress me - a moment in time frozen forever, a tangible memory that you can hold, share and cherish. Gear - 1981 Polaroid Sun 660 Autofocus, 1984 Polaroid SLR 680, 1996 Polaroid SLR 690.
